Banwa: 30 widows and widowers benefit from aid from COPROSUR

The Provincial Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation Committee COPROSUR donated food to 30 widows and widowers as part of the validation of the provincial contingency plan.

The members of the Provincial Committee for Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation (COPROSUR) met from July 25 to 28, 2023 to validate the provincial contingency plan which had been drawn up in May 2023 with a team from SP / CONASUR.

According to the representative of the High Commissioner Jules Kabore, the implementation of this plan was effective thanks to CONASUR and also to the partner which is Terre des hommes (Tdh) which made it possible to acquire these donations consisting of bags of rice, cans of oil, sugar, salt and beans.

"For the moment we have worked with humanitarian action, which has been able to provide a list of widows and widowers who are really in need because some people do not even have a grain of cereal, especially widows who are heads of households. who are suffering a lot", concludes the representative of the High Commissioner.

Composed of 2 bags of rice of 25 kg, 10 kg of beans, 2 kg of sugar, one kilogram of salt and 1 Boudon of 5 liters of oil, each person among the 30 people received their gifts from the hands of the members of COPROSUR in the presence of the SP/CONASUR team and members of the Tdh partner.

Minata Guimbou can't hold back her tears after getting the food.

“God only knows how I feel. I cannot speak but I say thank you to the President of Burkina. i can't see him and tell him my feelings but i bless him night and day with all the SDS. Thanks to the High Commissioner and his team because only God will pay you. I only had 300 FCFA today and I was wondering how to feed the little orphans and that's it….crying”.

According to the statements of the representative of the High Commissioner Jules Kaboré, several people will be satisfied in the days to come.
