Banwa: Provincial Doua Day in Solenzo for reconciliation, peace and social cohesion

The population of the Banwa organized on Saturday July 8, 2023 in Solenzo, a provincial doua day for reconciliation, peace and social cohesion in Burkina Faso in general and in the Banwa in particular. .

On Saturday July 8, 2023 hundreds of Muslims and non-Muslims gathered at the Sector 4 mosque in Solenzo for prayers and blessings.

Men, women and children as well as the elderly responded to the call of Sheikh Souffi Abdoul Karim Tiama who is a son of the locality.

He first welcomed the strong mobilization and also explained why this day of dua.

“You should know that this day concerns everyone because we don't know which person's prayer may be answered! A child ? An adult ? An old person? A Muslim ? A Christian or one of the tradition? Only God knows and that's why we called everyone,” said Cheikh Souffi Abdoul Karim Tiama.

In turn, wise men from Solenzo, representatives of young people and other religious denominations took the floor to lavish blessings on all Burkinabè without exception, on the Defense and Security Forces as well as on members of the government.

After these blessings, Cheikh Souffi Abdoul Karim Tiama called on all Burkinabè in general and in the Banwa province in particular to speak to each other, to join hands and to call on the lost daughters and sons to lay down their arms and come back because According to him, it is together that we can move the country forward.

“We ask Allah to hear our prayers and watch over us especially in this winter season when people have sown and abandoned their crops. May Allah soothe hearts and bring back peace and tranquility,” he concluded.

It was around 12 p.m. that the day of dua ended in Solenzo in the presence of hundreds of people.
