Bassitenga: The pedagogical days of secondary education and vocational training in the province of Bassitenga concluded in Ziniare on Friday, October 10, 2025, with educational authorities reporting satisfactory outcomes.
According to Burkina Information Agency, over the course of four days, more than 865 teachers from secondary schools and vocational training programs participated in capacity building sessions. These sessions were conducted by nineteen trainers and covered several themes related to ongoing educational reforms.
The discussions during the sessions emphasized the skills-based approach (SBA), the introduction of multi-purpose classes, vocational training, and the reinstatement of civic and moral education in secondary schools.
Ms. Leocadie Traore/Hien, the provincial director of secondary education and vocational training in Bassitenga, stated that all activities proceeded according to the established program. She commended the teachers for their diligent participation and highlighted the quality of discussions that took place in the workshops.
At the closing ceremony, Ms. Abiba Kone/Ouedraogo, Director General of Curricula and Training of Secondary Education Personnel, congratulated the participants for their dedication. She noted that these pedagogical days support the success of reforms initiated since 2024 and contribute to the ongoing improvement of education quality.
