Bogande: The 19th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR), under the leadership of Captain Lynx, successfully executed an escort mission on the Bogande-Manni axis in the Gnagna province, Sirba region, from October 12 to 13, 2025. The operation ensured the safe transportation of more than a hundred supply trucks, buses, and other vehicles.
According to Burkina Information Agency, military engineering teams effectively neutralized five improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during the mission. This proactive approach prevented potential tragedies and underscored the team's vigilance and expertise. The convoy successfully reached its destination due to the professionalism and ingenuity of the BIR members.
The operation also highlighted the endurance of the military mechanics, who towed broken-down vehicles using their own resources to maintain convoy cohesion. Several terrorists were neutralized, three motorcycles were recovered, and two weapons were seized, demonstrating the operation's effectiveness.
This mission reflects the determination of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) to ensure the free movement of people and goods across the region.
