Burkina: Cultural Actors Gather for Preparatory Meeting on Upcoming Public Administration-Private Sector Conference

Ouagadougou: The Kadiogo Regional Directorate of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism (DRCCAT) organized an exchange meeting with cultural actors in Ouagadougou. This meeting aimed to prepare participants for the forthcoming public administration-private sector gathering focused on culture and tourism, set to take place on November 18, 2025, in Ouahigouya.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the preparatory meeting included officials from the Ministry of Culture, representatives from cultural umbrella organizations like the National Confederation of Culture, and tourism bodies such as the Federation of Employers' Organizations of Tourism and Hospitality of Burkina. The exchange aimed to align the objectives and expectations of both public and private sectors in the cultural and tourism domains.

The Regional Director of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism of Kadiogo, Octavie Neya Ouedraogo, emphasized the ministry and State's commitment to transparent and efficient governance. She highlighted that success is rooted in synergizing actions between the public administration and the private sector.

Director of Arts and Cultural Initiatives, No«llie Congo, stated that the technical meeting's objective was to gather stakeholder concerns, compile their contributions, and relay them in preparation for the significant public administration-private sector meeting on culture and tourism in Ouahigouya.

Telesphore Bationo, president of the National Confederation of Culture, underscored the importance of this exchange framework. He noted that it allows the administration to better understand the private sector's expectations and enables cultural actors to articulate their vision, aiming for clearer directions by 2026.
