Burkina Faso: The Muslim Community of Tenkodogo Donates Materials to Faso Mebo

Ouagadougou: The Muslim community of Tenkodogo provided material support to the Faso Mebo brigade on Saturday, as part of the implementation of the presidential beautification initiative. The donation consists of 300 paving molds, 5 bags of seakalite, 2 cans of engine oil, 12 pairs of gloves, and 19 protective vests, worth 750,000 CFA francs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the gesture was made in a spirit of fraternity and solidarity by the Muslim community of Tenkodogo, led by Grand Imam El Hadj Mamoudou Sana, President Ousmane Balima, and Advisor for Islamic Affairs El Hadj Idriss Diao. El Hadj Idriss Diao emphasized that the donation aligns with the community's desire to support the presidential initiative aimed at promoting hygiene, beautifying cities, and rebuilding the country through community work.

"With this donation, we wanted to respond to the call of the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. These tools will allow the brigade to continue its work of making paving stones and maintaining public spaces. It is also our way of saying that the Muslim community is committed to supporting the development of Burkina Faso," he stated. The Islamic Affairs Advisor also expressed blessings for the peace, security, and prosperity of the country, while inviting other religious communities and people of goodwill to join in the national unity effort.

Receiving the donation, Sami Berenger Pooda, president of the special delegation of the commune of Tenkodogo, expressed his gratitude towards the Muslim community for enhancing the operational capacities of the Faso Mebo brigade. "This morning, the Muslim community came with their arms full to support us. These donations, consisting of paving stone production tools, protective equipment, and cleaning products, will strengthen our work capacity," he mentioned.

Mr. Pooda further articulated that this contribution reinforces the Faso Mebo brigade's conviction that "Burkina Faso is one and indivisible, and that it is united that we can build a society of peace and cohesion." This donation comes in addition to several other forms of support received in recent weeks by the Faso Mebo brigade of Tenkodogo, demonstrating the growing mobilization of the population around the presidential initiative.

Through such actions, the inhabitants of Tenkodogo reaffirm their commitment to peace, social cohesion, and the development of Burkina Faso.
