The same title is on the front page of the private daily Le pays, which also informs that the prosecution has also requested a fine of 500 million CFA francs against the former minister.

According to the editorialist of Today in Faso, Macky Sall "dribbled this July 3, 2023 and his supporters and his opponents who had bet their political careers that the outgoing president had caught the unhealthy temptation of the 3rd term".

The newspaper understands that "with this unexpected statement, there is no doubt that the Senegalese socio-political mercury, which kept rising, will fall again".
