Ouagadougou: The Burkina Remparts Association Federation offers school kits to disadvantaged students at the Zogona municipal school. The Federation of Burkina Remparts Associations presented school kits to disadvantaged and disabled students at Zogona A and B communal schools on Friday. The official presentation ceremony took place within the school grounds.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Burkina Remparts Federation of Associations, Omar Michel Kopia, stated that they have carried out two important actions within this establishment. The first action is an act of solidarity through the donation of school kits to underprivileged students and those with disabilities. The kit, consisting of a backpack, notebooks, pens, and chalk, aims to contribute to the academic success of these students.
Mr. Kopia continued by indicating that the second act of this initiative was marked by the presentation of the effigy of the President of Faso and a printed version of the national anthem to all classes of the Zogona A and B communal schools. This action aims to cultivate patriotism, love of the fatherland, and discipline among students, in accordance with the vision of the President of Faso.
"We have displayed the national anthem so that students can write it correctly and sing it without difficulty," he added. Mr. Kopia specified that this initiative, which began in 2024, aims to equip all schools in the country with the image of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, as well as the national anthem.
Omar Michel Kopia also praised the work of teachers in training the country's future leaders. "This old school is a breeding ground that must be preserved, because it has trained several executives who are leading Burkina Faso today," he said.
The director of the Zogona B communal school, Jean-Baptiste Ilboudo, welcomed the life-saving initiative of the Burkina Remparts Federation of Associations. He stressed that the image of the President of Faso and the national anthem will allow them to help students cultivate greater civic-mindedness and discipline, in the image of the President of Faso. The director also indicated that the school kits intended for poor students, internally displaced persons, and students with disabilities will contribute to improving their academic performance.
