Burkina: The President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, Dr. Ousmane Bougouma discusses with two delegations of American diplomats.

The President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, Dr. Ousmane Bougouma, received in audience this Tuesday, July 4, 2023, two delegations of American diplomats.

The first delegation led by US Ambassador to Burkina Faso Sandra Clark was made up of representatives of the US Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.

With President Bougouma, discussions focused on the security situation prevailing in Burkina Faso, on the Transition and relations between the two partner parliaments.

The Vice President of the American Institute for Peace, Joseph Sany was received in audience afterwards.

“I had a fairly informative interview with the President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly. We have reviewed the priority challenges facing Burkina, to see what we can do to support the efforts of the Transitional authorities to end the crisis,” Mr. Sany told the press on leaving hearing.

His institute works to promote peace in Burkina Faso through support programs and the strengthening of dialogue within communities.
