The Union of Young Emerging Economic Operators of Burkina (UJOEE-BF) stressed on Friday that it intends to celebrate on September 30, the first year of the Patriotic Movement for the Safeguarding and restoration (MPSR2), marking the arrival of Captain Ibrahim Traoré in power.
"We want to commemorate this date '' September 30, 2023 (the arrival of Captain Ibrahim Traoré in power in 2022) at the municipal stadium of Ouagadougou with all the different associations that accompany the Transition", declared the national president of the Union of young emerging economic operators from Burkina (UJOEE-BF), Honoré Yonli.
Mr. Yonli invited young people, leaders of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from brotherly countries such as Niger, Mali and the Republic of Guinea to join Burkinabè for the celebration of Year I of the MPSR2.
The president of UJOEE-BF was speaking on Friday August 19, 2023 in Ouagadougou, at the end of his audience with the Prime Minister, Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem de Tambèla.
"Before this date, we have planned conferences on the one-year review of the MPSR2," he said.
Honoré Yonli indicated that young people will make proposals to the Heads of State of the countries concerned for the smooth running of the various Transitions initiated.
As a reminder, on September 30, 2022, Captain Ibrahim Traoré overthrew Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba, who killed President-elect Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, on January 24, 2022.
These changes were justified by the lack of commitment to deal effectively with the terrorist attacks that have rocked Burkina Faso since 2015.
