The investigating judge at el Kef Court of First Instance decided to adjourn the case against President of the Association of Tunisian Judges (French: AMT) Anas Hmedi to next November 15 , defence lawyer Ayachi Hammami told TAP on Monday. Hmedi is facing accusations of "obstruction of the freedom to work" following a strike of judges and protests staged by the AMT to decry the decision to dismiss 57 judges on June1, 2022. The AMT called for halting disciplinary and criminal proceedings against its president. It also warned against any possible "arbitrary decision" against him.
