Dedougou Public Transporters Contribute Cement to Presidential Initiative Faso Mebo

Mouhoun: The Dedougou public transporters group has demonstrated its civic commitment to national construction by donating four tons of cement to the provincial committee of the presidential initiative Faso Mebo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was made on Monday, October 20, 2025, indicating the transporters' support for the initiative. The Faso Mebo initiative, launched on October 16, 2025, in Dedougou, aims to mobilize the people of Mouhoun province for national development. Soumaila Ouedraogo, the spokesperson and station manager at STAF Dedougou, stated that the gesture reflects their desire to actively contribute to building the country.

Ouedraogo emphasized that the transporters could not remain passive as the initiative, led by the president, seeks to develop the Bankui region. He highlighted the symbolic yet significant nature of their contribution to the national project.

The High Commissioner of Mouhoun province, Souleymane Nakanabo, praised the transporters for their patriotic and solidarity-driven actions. He noted that during the regional launch of Act II of the Faso Mebo initiative, 373 tons of cement were mobilized with contributions from the region's residents. Nakanabo also mentioned additional donations of sand and crushed granite from the company Zala Aboubacar, received the same day.

Souleymane Nakanabo expressed gratitude to all contributors, emphasizing the importance of community solidarity in supporting the presidential initiative. He urged continued support from the population to achieve the common goal of national construction.
