Diapaga: After 8 years of service, Prefect Simeon Toe hands over to Yambi Bamogo The conference room of the Diapaga town hall served as the setting, on Friday, October 17, 2025, for the handover ceremony between the outgoing prefect, Simeon Laodjolo Toe, and the incoming prefect, Yambi Bamogo. The ceremony was held under the chairmanship of the secretary general of the province, Martin Zoundi, in the presence of the active forces of Tapoa.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the province's secretary general, Martin Zoundi, first paid a well-deserved tribute to the outgoing prefect, Simeon Toe, who spent eight years and twenty-two days at the head of the urban commune of Diapaga, since his appointment on September 25, 2017. Mr. Zoundi remarked on the rigor, loyalty, and dedication shown by Mr. Toe during his tenure and emphasized that the handover should be viewed as a transition towards other contributions to the nation.
The outgoing prefect, Simeon Toe, expressed gratitude to the staff for their collaboration and urged for this spirit of cohesion to continue under his successor. He is set to continue his career in Noumbiel, where he will assume the role of the province's secretary general.
After installing the new prefect, Mr. Bamogo, the provincial secretary general acknowledged Mr. Bamogo's career and his sense of duty. Yambi Bamogo, previously the secretary general of the urban commune of Diapaga until his appointment on September 4, 2025, was praised for his commitment to continuing the modernization of the public administration.
Mr. Zoundi invited the new prefect to uphold the values of rigor, team spirit, and public service. In response, Yambi Bamogo expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the authorities and committed to aligning his actions with the strategic vision of the Ministry of Territorial Administration.
