Dokuy CEB Honors First Teacher Bruno Sanou with Prestigious Decoration

Dokuy: On the occasion of International Teachers' Day, celebrated on a delayed basis this Friday, October 17, 2025, the educational community of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Dokuy paid tribute to Bruno Sanou, affectionately referred to as "Coordo" by some and "Dean" by others. His dedication and service were recognized with a special decoration.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Bruno Sanou's 20 years of dedicated service and commitment to education have been acknowledged by educational authorities. Sanou was awarded this honor on October 17, 2025, as part of the celebrations for International Teachers' Day, which was marked later than usual.

Sanou embarked on his teaching journey in 2005 at the public primary school of Karasso as an assistant teacher. His sense of duty and professional rigor quickly set him apart, leading to his appointment as director after just two years. He served as director with passion and efficiency at several schools, including Makuy from 2007 to 2012, Goni 'A' from 2012 to 2019, Denissa Mossi from 2019 to 2021, and Kamadena school since 2021.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sanou frequently lent his experience and dynamism to various coordination missions within the CEB of Dokuy. Known for his integrity and loyalty, he remained attentive to the needs of his colleagues and committed to the well-being of his educational community.

On this memorable day, colleagues and educational authorities expressed their gratitude for Sanou's patriotism, dedication, and profound sense of public service, saying, "Let this tribute be a testimony of our deep admiration and gratitude to a model teacher."
