Dr. Alain SIRI Installed in His New Role as Executive Director

Ouagadougou: The Minister Director of Cabinet of the President of Faso, Captain Martha Celeste Anderson Dekomwin Medah, officially installed Dr. Alain Siri as the new Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic and Social Policies (CAPES) on Friday, October 17.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Martha Celeste Anderson Dekomwin Medah acknowledged the efforts of the outgoing Executive Director, Dr. Victor Sanou, for his accomplishments within CAPES. She emphasized the strategic importance of CAPES in the current context, reminding Dr. Alain Siri of the significant responsibilities he now holds. She stated, "I know that you are aware of the heavy task that falls to you at this crucial stage in our country's history."

Dr. Alain Siri expressed his commitment to building upon the foundation laid by his predecessors. He outlined his vision to enhance the scientific and technical credibility of CAPES and to foster stronger connections with society. This includes promoting dialogue with institutions, universities, research partners, civil society, and the private sector. Dr. Siri aims to transform CAPES into a hub for innovative ideas and solutions that anticipate societal changes.

The Minister, who also serves as President of the CAPES Orientation Council, encouraged the organization's employees to exhibit solidarity and mutual support. She highlighted the importance of working together to meet the objectives set forth by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
