Barga: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Barga, Augustin Ilboudo, presided over the opening ceremony of the annual pedagogical conference for teachers of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Barga.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Augustin Ilboudo commended the educational staff for their resilience and adaptability, which led to satisfactory results in the previous school year. He emphasized the importance of the educational reforms introduced by Burkina Faso's leadership, praising their foresight in enhancing the education system.
Ilboudo highlighted the benefits of these reforms in cultivating responsible citizens grounded in Burkinabe social values. He encouraged participants to actively engage in the conference activities to ensure effective implementation of the reforms in classrooms.
The Head of the Barga Basic Education District, Daouda Sigue, assured the PDS of the district's commitment to promoting the reforms. He noted that despite challenges, teachers have been implementing innovations such as English, gardening, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) since last year.
Sigue emphasized the importance of capacity building at the start of the year, expressing the staff's enthusiasm and readiness to fully engage in the upcoming training from October 15 to 19, 2025.
