Boulgou: The national police are helping to ensure the cleanliness of the Garango CMA: The Garango police station dedicated Monday, October 14, 2025, to a sanitation operation within the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA). This initiative aims to contribute to the sanitation of the healthcare environment and to strengthen collaboration between the security forces and health personnel, in the service of the population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, armed with brooms, shovels, rakes, and machetes, the police officers cleaned the courtyard, walkways, and areas surrounding the CMA. This activity is part of the public health and civic-mindedness efforts advocated by local and national authorities.
The Chief Medical Officer of the Garango Health District (MCD), Dr. Kansie Germaine, welcomed the initiative and the mobilization of the police officers around this common cause. "By coming to assist healthcare workers, the police are sending a strong signal of community engagement. A clean healthcare environment promotes quality services and patient safety," she said. She also recalled that the cleanliness of health infrastructure remains a shared responsibility between health workers, users and partners.
For the Garango police representative, this day is part of the police's civic actions, beyond its sovereign security missions. "The police are not only there to enforce the law, they also work for the collective well-being. Contributing to the cleanliness of the CMA means contributing to the health of all," he said.
