Bobo-dioulasso: The Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of the Guiriko region, Mr. Soilliou Karantao, has officially inaugurated the annual pedagogical conference for primary school teachers. This year, Colsama schools, situated in the 7th district of Bobo-Dioulasso, have been chosen to host the opening ceremony.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference is themed "Implementation of educational reforms and appropriation of integration situations." It is designed to enhance the teaching capabilities of educators, ensuring they effectively apply the latest reforms in the education system. The ceremony was presided over by the Regional Director and witnessed the participation of administrative, customary, and religious authorities, alongside representatives from the 7th district.
A supervisory mission from the General Directorate for the Quality of Formal Education, which arrived in Bobo-Dioulasso the previous day, also attended the event. The coordinator of the National Union of Private Secular Education Institutions (UNEPEL) voiced satisfaction regarding the involvement of private educators in this significant knowledge-sharing occasion.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Soilliou Karantao emphasized the importance of equipping teachers with training and information over the four-day event to successfully implement the reforms for the benefit of the education system. The pedagogical conference is scheduled to run from October 15 to 18, 2025, across the nation.
