Sanguie: The High Commissioner mobilizes the forces for a sanitation day at the CMA of Reo: The vital forces of the province of Sanguie, led by the High Commissioner Mrs. Talari Germaine Ouoba, mobilized this Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Medical Center with surgical antenna (CMA) of Reo, as part of the health day counting for the second phase of the Days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation, noted the AIB.
According to Burkina Information Agency, equipped with brooms, rakes, and wheelbarrows, the agents of the CMA of Reo, the green brigade, the technical services, as well as several citizens took part in this civic activity aimed at making the health environment cleaner and healthier.
In her opening remarks, the High Commissioner of Sanguie, Ms. Ouoba, welcomed the mobilization of the participants and recalled that this day is part of a national dynamic. She indicated that in each region, province, and department, a sanitation day is organized. "Here in Sanguie, we have chosen the CMA of Reo to set an example," she said, while thanking the health workers for their dedication and commitment to serving the population.
Ms. Ouoba paid tribute to the healthcare workers for their professionalism and sense of duty. "We are fortunate to have committed men and women who fight daily to provide better public healthcare services. A sick population cannot develop the country," she added, before declaring the health day open in Sanguie province.
The provincial director in charge of water, sanitation, and the environment in Sanguie, Mr. Soma Nombie, welcomed the government initiative, which contributes to making living environments healthier. According to him, the choice of the CMA is symbolic. "It's a place frequented by everyone. By cleaning it up, we are helping to prevent certain diseases and improve the well-being of the population," he said, while inviting citizens to continue their daily sanitation efforts, both in concessions and in public spaces.
The chief physician of the Reo health district, Dr. David Nikiema, expressed his gratitude to the authorities and participants. "We are filled with joy. This action addresses a real need for sanitation within the center. We hope that this type of initiative will continue to provide a more pleasant care environment for patients and staff," he said.
The day ended in a friendly atmosphere, marked by exchanges, encouragement, and a strong message of unity around cleanliness and public health.
