Zabre: The annex building of the Zabre town hall was inaugurated on Friday, October 17, 2025. During the ceremony, the High Commissioner of the Boulgou province, Constantin D. Dabire, hailed this work as a symbol of the determination of the people of Zabre. Chaired by the High Commissioner, the inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of administrative, customary, and religious authorities from Tenkodogo and Zabre.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the construction of this building, which began in 2014, encountered several difficulties. It was finally the current special delegation, led by the prefect and president of the special delegation (PDS), Alain Boubie Bassono, who completed the work, albeit with a reduced version of the initial project: the building, originally planned on several levels, was ultimately limited to a ground floor. The total cost of construction amounts to 139,600,000 CFA francs.
The High Commissioner stated that the inaugurated building represents the fruit of the determination and commitment of the people of Zabre. According to him, this achievement will improve the working conditions of municipal employees while optimizing the services provided to the population. "This will allow for better management of public services and guarantee quality services for the population," he stressed, calling on employees to redouble their efforts to provide even more efficient services.
The PDS also specified that the building, consisting of seven spacious rooms, will house the PDS office, the secretary general's office, and those of the two vice-presidents. It will also house the accounting department, the management office, latrines, and a large meeting or function room that can accommodate between 200 and 300 people. The building is designed to be expandable in the future, to allow for further expansion if necessary. The PDS emphasized that, thanks to this new infrastructure, "agents will no longer have any excuse for not completing their tasks within the allotted time."
Finally, it should be remembered that the old building, constructed by the State around 2006-2007, will now be used for the Civil Registry service.
