Kenedougou: The governor of the Guiriko region, Mariama Konate/Gnanou, launched a public health operation in Orodara. Equipped with gloves and a shovel, Governor Mariama Konate/Gnanou, along with local administrative authorities, demonstrated the importance of sanitation by actively participating in a waste disposal activity. The event took place at a town site in Orodara, where she personally loaded a tricycle with garbage.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative aims to raise awareness among the population about the significance of hygiene and sanitation in their living environments. Governor Konate/Gnanou emphasized that the health and well-being of people are closely linked to sanitation. She highlighted the act of cleaning living environments, workplaces, and surroundings as a patriotic duty and urged for collective awareness.
The governor also encouraged the residents of Kenedougou to renew their civic and patriotic commitment by supporting the vision of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
