Manifesto for New Pan-Africanism Presented to President Ibrahim Traore

Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, welcomed a delegation of pan-African representatives, spearheaded by Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Pingdwende Gilbert Ouedraogo. The delegation presented him with a "Manifesto for a New Pan-Africanism" as a sign of support for his leadership in the Popular Progressive Revolution.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation, comprised of participants from 22 countries, was in Ouagadougou for the "Carrefour africain Thomas Sankara" international meeting. During the audience, President Traore emphasized the critical role of education and awareness among African youth, stressing the importance of understanding both historical and current global contexts.

President Traore remarked on the current global dichotomy, stating, "In the world order today, there are only two camps, and each will have to choose. Those who claim to be neutral either have completely misunderstood or their brains are turned off." He underscored the need for a mindset transformation, resistance against imperialism, and a continued pursuit of revolutionary ideals to secure a prosperous future for Africa.

Minister Ouedraogo declared Ouagadougou as the center of the African revolution, noting that the principles of freedom, dignity, and sovereignty championed by President Traore resonate with Burkinab¨ citizens and supporters globally.

Senegalese MP Guy Marius Sagna, on behalf of the participants, presented the manifesto to President Traore. The document draws inspiration from revolutionary leaders such as Thomas Sankara, Kwame Nkrumah, and Patrice Lumumba, among others.
