Gueswende Amos Congo, the director responsible for the development of agro-pastoral and fisheries entrepreneurship and representing the director general of the promotion of the rural economy, expressed support for the initiative. He noted its alignment with national efforts to emphasize work, production, and economic sovereignty in development strategies.
Mr. Congo highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in responding to the patriotic call for building a self-reliant Burkina Faso, underscoring the commitment of young entrepreneurs as vital to the nation's sustainable development.
High Commissioner Kam praised Daniel A. Abongte, President and CEO of Terre Africaine, for facilitating the program that nurtures the talents and skills of young individuals. Kam emphasized the role of entrepreneurship as a solution to economic challenges, promoting job creation and enhancing community resilience.
He encouraged young people from the province's five municipalities to learn from their predecessors' experiences and to forge strong networks for their entrepreneurial success. Kam also reminded participants that while numerous support programs are available, the drive and perseverance of young individuals are irreplaceable in achieving entrepreneurial success.
"Being an entrepreneur means refusing the inevitability of unemployment, it means transforming an idea into a project, a project into a business," Kam concluded, motivating the youth to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with determination.
