Nakambe: The Executive Office of the Patronage of the Nakambe region, led by its president Fasnewende Minoungou, known as Prince Akim, handed over a large batch of construction materials worth 7 million CFA francs to the 'Faso Mebo' brigade of Tenkodogo, to support the beautification work of the city initiated within the framework of the presidential program 'Faso Mebo'.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Nakambe Patronat, Fasnewende Minoungou, indicated that this donation reflects the desire of the private sector to support the dynamic driven by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore. "Since the launch of this presidential initiative, we have seen a growing interest in beautifying our city. This is why we wanted to make our contribution," he stated.
The donation, consisting of 20 tons of cement, 200 tons of granite, 400 molds, and 30 tons of sand, is estimated at 7 million CFA francs. Minoungou explained that it is a collective contribution from the 12 members of the Executive Board of the Nakambe Region Employers' Association. He specified that this action is part of an approach of participation in local development and that the Nakambe region intends to support beautification activities in the three provinces of Boulgou, Kouritenga, and Koulpelogo.
"We are building for ourselves and for future generations," added Minoungou, inviting citizens to take ownership of the "Faso Mebo" initiative.
The president of the special delegation of the commune of Tenkodogo, Sami Berenger Pooda, welcomed this contribution from the Employers' Association, which he described as a gesture of support for the 'Faso Mebo' project. "This donation shows that the Head of State's appeal has been heard by all citizens, whether individuals, economic operators or community leaders," he remarked.
Pooda stated that the beautification work in the town of Tenkodogo is more than 50% complete. This particularly concerns the axis linking the Cathedral to the Regional Directorate of Infrastructure, which has already been paved on its right side. He added that the so-called "showcase" phase, centered on the Place de la Nation, will begin soon and will concentrate the majority of the planned projects.
The president of the special delegation finally invited residents and partners to continue their mobilization. "No donation is insignificant. Whether in kind, in cash, or in labor, we are open to it," he said.
Through this donation, the Nakambe Regional Patronage reaffirms the commitment of the private sector to support the government in the implementation of the 'Faso Mebo' program, which is gradually mobilizing public and private actors around the improvement of the living environment in the cities of Burkina Faso.
