Official Launch of Faso Mebo Initiative in Nayala Province

Nayala: The High Commissioner of the province of Nayala, Honore Frederic Pare, launched the presidential initiative Faso Mebo on Saturday in front of the high commission, in the presence of administrative, customary, religious, and military authorities, as well as the populations of Nayala. Placed under the sign of citizen participation, the ceremony marked a strong moment of patriotism and social cohesion in the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, High Commissioner Honore Frederic Pare praised the commitment of the people of Nayala to the national cause. He recalled that the Faso Mebo presidential initiative, launched by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, on October 16, 2024, aims to open up localities, beautify cities, and promote citizen mobilization around endogenous development. "Faso Mebo is the expression of the Burkinabe people taking charge of their own development. No one is poor enough not to participate. Every contribution, however modest, is necessary," said the High Commissioner.

Mr. Pare also presented the two major components of the initiative: the construction of road infrastructure by local brigades and urban redevelopment through sanitation, the creation of green spaces, and the construction of decent housing. The president of the special delegation of the commune of Toma, Zakaria Sawadogo, welcomed a "civic and patriotic" initiative and invited the population to mobilize for its success. "Faso Mebo is not just a slogan: it is a call for responsibility and national solidarity," he said, while expressing the gratitude of the people of Nayala to the Head of State.

On behalf of the Chief of the canton of Toma, Mr. Gnissa Olympe Pare also called on the daughters and sons of Nayala to unite in action and make a collective contribution to the success of the project. During the ceremony, several symbolic donations were made to the provincial implementation committee. A management committee chaired by the High Commissioner and including the relevant provincial directorates, the national police, and representatives of citizen monitoring movements has been set up to ensure the transparency and security of donations.
