Loroum: The provincial directorate responsible for secondary education in Loroum convened its administrative agents from October 14 to 17, 2025, for the annual administrative staff conference in Titao.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference was centered on implementing reforms initiated by the Ministry of Secondary Education. The event, which followed a similar gathering for teachers, focused on enhancing educational quality, fostering active and inclusive citizenship, and optimizing available resources.
Rasmane Savadogo, the representative of the provincial directorate, emphasized the critical role of administrative staff in executing these reforms. Participants were introduced to key innovations, including the creation of multi-purpose establishments, the introduction of vocational training, the establishment of school councils, and the enhancement of civic and citizenship education.
Souleymane Ouermi, the provincial director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, highlighted the ethical principles essential to the teaching profession. He underscored the importance of adhering to current legislation, emphasizing values such as punctuality, attendance, and respect for hierarchy, urging administrative staff to be role models for their students.
Hassirou Sankara, head of human resources, stated that the conference objectives were met. "The objectives set out in the ToR have been developed and the discussions have helped to clear up the gray areas. We can say that the objectives have been achieved," Sankara noted, expressing hope that the new skills acquired will be implemented effectively.
The session comprised discussions on reform implementation themes and workshop activities, aiming to ensure the success of the educational reforms.
