Solenzo Citizens Unite for City-Wide Clean-Up Effort

Solenzo: The Solenzo Citizen Watch, Defense and Security Forces (FDS), and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) collaborated on a significant clean-up day aimed at tidying public areas throughout the city.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative saw large groups from the FDS, VDP, and Citizen Watch in Solenzo actively engaging in cleaning efforts. Equipped with rakes, machetes, shovels, and brooms, participants targeted areas around the central police station, the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA), the central market, and the Solenzo prefecture. Activities included cutting tall grass and shrubs, collecting debris, and emptying garbage bins along the main road. Tricycles and vehicles were used to transport the collected waste.

Captain Papa Parfait Kambou emphasized that the clean-up effort aims to maintain public spaces and encourage the community to engage in similar activities. He stated the importance of keeping Solenzo clean while awaiting further support from the Laabal brigade. The community has committed to organizing future clean-up events, focusing on additional public locations.
