Djibo: The vital forces of the city of Djibo, in the province of Soum, undertook a significant cleanup operation at the provincial high school as part of the National Days of Citizen Engagement and Participation (JEPPC). On Saturday, October 11, the community came together to participate in this initiative, which was launched by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event saw a large turnout as residents responded to the call of local authorities to demonstrate their civic responsibility. This initiative is part of the second phase of JEPPC 2025 and involved several coordinated activities aimed at improving the school environment.
The Secretary General of Soum province, Losseni Woni, who represented the High Commissioner, highlighted the planned activities during this phase, which included two sanitation operations and a color-raising activity where participants donned traditional attire. Woni expressed appreciation for the community's participation and urged citizens to join another cleanup event scheduled for October 15 at the Urban Medical Center of Djibo.
The JEPPC's second phase, running from October 2 to 16, 2025, involves similar activities across the national territory, aiming to foster a spirit of communal responsibility and active citizenship.
