State Symbols Taught to Bisnaba Students in Gourcy

Ouagadougou: Students at the Bisnaba school in the town of Gourcy benefited from a theoretical course on the meaning and respect for state symbols, organized on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, by the Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Zondoma.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was part of the second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC). The Provincial Directorate initiated a flag-raising ceremony at the Bisnaba school in the Basic Education District (CEB) of Gourcy 2. During the ceremony, a theoretical course on state symbols was delivered by a team from the Gourcy national gendarmerie after the flag was raised to the rhythm of the national anthem sung in the Moore language.

The communication, presented by Diakalia Traore, focused on a detailed presentation of state symbols, with particular emphasis on the national colors. Provincial Director of Education in Zondoma, Karim Sawadogo, encouraged students to embrace civic duty, patriotism, and civic participation.

The ceremony saw participation from students, teachers, education officials, and various education partners, marking a significant engagement in promoting patriotic education.
