Ouagadougou: The Ministry of Economy and Finance handed over, Friday in Ouagadougou, a large batch of medical equipment to the neonatology unit of the Charles-De-Gaulle Pediatric University Hospital (CHUP-CDG), in order to support the efforts of healthcare staff in the care of newborns.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this donation, the result of the voluntary contribution of ministry officials, is part of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), initiated to strengthen national solidarity. "Our teams, aware of the noble mission you are carrying out here, wanted to make a concrete, simple but sincere gesture, to say that the Ministry of Economy and Finance stands alongside those who save lives every day, often in silence and self-denial," declared the Secretary General of the Ministry, Vieux Abdoul Rachid Soulama.
He added that this gesture aims to translate into concrete action the values of solidarity and active citizenship: 'May these devices contribute, in their own way, to lightening your load and prolonging your life.' The prize package includes a hemoglobin meter, a blood glucose meter, cuvettes, strips, pulse oximeters for newborns, diapers, wipes, breast milk substitutes, resuscitation kits, oxygen goggles, and boxes of antibiotic medication.
