Burkina: An association offers a new form of economic collaboration to the authorities

The Initiative for Economic and Financial Cooperation of Burkina Faso (ICEF-Bukina/BRICS) proposed on Saturday, to the authorities of the Transition, a new form of economic collaboration with the BRICS which are emerging countries for the development of the country.

According to Ismael Cissé, responsible for training and economic issues at the Burkina Faso Economic and Financial Cooperation Initiative (ICEF-Burkina/BRICS), after 60 years of collaboration with traditional partners (France, IMF), the country always remain poor.

Also, Mr. Cissé indicated that his structure offers the authorities of the Transition a new format of economic partnership with the BRICS which are emerging countries such as Russia, China, India, Brazil and South Africa. South for a harmonious development of Burkina.

The Initiative's training and economic affairs officer spoke Saturday in Ouagadougou to journalists about a new form of collaboration with the BRICS. He noted that the BRICS have development and integration projects for developing countries.

The general coordinator of ICEF-Burkina /BRICS, Joachim Kéré indicated that the objective of emerging countries is to work for the economic and financial sovereignty of Burkina Faso and Africa in general.

According to Mr. Kéré, his association intends to carry out actions and pleas with the authorities, national and international institutions, in favor of the social, economic and financial development of the people of Burkina Faso.

According to him, the Transition does not fight the former partners which are, among others, France, the European Union, the IMF but claims its national sovereignty.

The General Coordinator also indicated that the BRICS offer road infrastructure (railways, highway) and technology transfer to Burkina and African countries.

“ICEF-Burkina/BRICS is convinced that the financial and economic cooperation between our country and the BRICS will enable our government to guarantee not only sustainable development but also provide an effective response to the neo-liberal policies of Bretton Woods,” said - he added.

To this end, Mr. Kéré called, among other things, for the opening of a vast trade market between Burkina Faso and the BRICS, for the establishment of the headquarters of the financial institution in Faso and for the creation of a community currency between African States.

As a reminder, the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré received on Monday, June 12, a medal from the BRICS for his fight in favor of the national sovereignty of the country.

The Bogodogo University Hospital Center (CHU-B) celebrated Friday the first edition of its day of excellence, which saw the merit of five technical medical services and five technical departments recognized, for the year 2022 for their self-sacrifice at work.

"Holding the first edition of excellence at the Bogodogo University Hospital Center (CHU-B) is the expression of our determination to make the motivation of all staff a priority," said the Director General of CHU-B, Seydou Numbered. The first manager of CHU-B spoke Friday in Ouagadougou, in the premises of his health establishment on the occasion of the first edition of the day of excellence.

To this end, the services of surgery, medicine, hospital pharmacy, orthopedic traumatology and cardiology received letters of congratulations and prizes of 125 thousand CFA francs, 200 thousand CFA francs, 250 thousand F CFA and 300 thousand F CFA with performance ranging from 65 to 79.75%.

The amounts of 100,000 FCFA, 150,000, 200,000, 250,000 and 300,000 FCFA went respectively to the internal control, human resources, public procurement, IT and quality departments with percentages of 55 to 74.82% accompanied by congratulations.

According to the director general of CHU-B, Seydou Numbré, the services whose merit has been recognized have distinguished themselves by their dedication to work. “My conviction is that the quality of care must be the royal road to promoting merit, culture and work well done and healthy competition,” he continued.

According to him, the first edition of the day of excellence constitutes a moment of sharing recognition and communion with all the staff and those admitted to retirement.

The quality director of CHU-B, Dr Wend panga Zacharie Kafando revealed that fifteen criteria distributed in several areas including general management (frameworks for consultation, planning, communication etc.), make it possible to formulate recommendations to the end of the evaluation for monitoring their implementation.

He specified that a total of 26 medical and technical services plus 12 technical departments were in the running at CHU-B for the performance evaluation in 2022.

On this occasion, gifts were given to agents admitted to retirement. Mrs. Mariam Millogo, in outpatient, retired shared her experiences with young nurses, majors and doctors.

It should be noted that the CHU-B remains one of the structures at the last level of care in the health pyramid in Burkina Faso.
