Minister Roland Somda announced Thursday the acquisition of a new aircraft for the national company Air Burkina by September 2024.He added that this plane will belong to the company Air Burkina, specifying that, contrary to previous practice, it is not a rental.According to Mr. Somda, leasing in the aviation sector is not a lasting solution.Minister Roland Somda spoke Thursday in Ouagadougou during the evaluation session of the target contracts assigned to the various ministers during the first half of 2024.He also said that a team went to China to check the plane that the country wishes to acquire.Tests have been carried out, and all that remains is to finalize the procurement procedure in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Somda said.With the ministerial reshuffle of August 1, 2024, Roland Somda left Transport for Sport and Youth.Source : Burkina Information Agency
