AES Aims for Total Security and Resource Exploitation to Benefit Population

Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, emphasized the commitment of the Heads of State of the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) to establish a secure environment to harness resources effectively for the population's benefit.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Traor© articulated this vision during an address to his fellow citizens following the traditional raising of the colors, where the AES anthem was performed for the first time at the Koulouba Palace in Ouagadougou. He stressed the need to transform the AES into a zone of complete security to exploit resources and ensure these benefits reach the masses.

Captain Ibrahim Traor© reiterated that the Sahel would not remain impoverished and underscored the commitment to continue strengthening and building the Sahel region to enhance its resilience and strength.

The Confederation of Alliances of Sahel States (AES), established in September 2023, unites Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. The alliance focuses on combining member states' efforts to address security challenges in the region and promote sustainable development for the benefit of the local populations.
