Bamako: The Cadet Stallions of Burkina Faso are set to take on the Mena U17 of Niger on Monday at the Mamadou Konat© Stadium in Bamako, Mali, marking their debut appearance in the 1st Games of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Aiglonnets of Mali, the host nation of these AES Games, had previously secured a victory against the Mena of Niger, finishing the match with a score of 3 goals to 0 on Saturday. The tournament includes three AES countries, and a win for Burkina Faso would ensure their spot in the final.
The inaugural AES Games, which will feature competitions in nine sports, are scheduled to be held from June 21 to 28 in Bamako. The event is expected to gather more than 500 athletes in the Malian capital.
