Alain Traor© Announces Retirement from Football After Two Decades

Ouagadougou: Former Burkinabe international Alain Traor© has officially announced the end of his football career, as AIB learned Thursday from sources close to the player. Traor©, who has had an extensive career spanning approximately twenty years, shared his decision in a heartfelt message.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Traor© expressed his gratitude and reflected on his journey that began in 2005 with the Planet Champion football academy in Ouagadougou. He highlighted the various clubs he represented, including AJ Auxerre, Stade Brestois, FC Lorient, AS Monaco, and others across countries such as Qatar, Morocco, Djibouti, and Ivory Coast.

Traor© also paid tribute to his late father, Isae Traor©, a former Burkinabe international, and cherished the moments he spent with the national team from 2005 to 2022. His international career included participating in World Cup qualifiers and Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, experiences he described as unforgettable.

In his message, Traor© expressed his gratitude towards coaches, supporters, and teammates who accompanied him on his professional journey. He acknowledged the guidance and support from numerous individuals and figures in the football community, both locally and internationally.
