Baz¨ga: Communities Strengthen Social Cohesion Through a Cultural Day in Ipelc©

Ipelc©: The populations of the rural commune of Ipelc© strongly mobilized for their cultural day, held on May 17, 2025, to promote peace and social cohesion through culture. Ipelc©, a rural commune located about thirty kilometers west of Kombissiri, capital of the province of Baz¨ga, experienced a festive atmosphere on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the sons and daughters and the living forces of the commune have unitedly celebrated harmonious living together through the organization of their cultural day under the theme: "For lasting peace and social cohesion in the commune of Ipelc©, let us promote Burkinabe culture." The president of the special delegation of the commune of Ipelc©, €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬°meline Kiemtor©/Bonkoungou, stated that this activity is part of the month of Burkinabe cultural heritage running from April 18 to May 18.

On this occasion, several activities were organized, including a night dedicated to traditional tales, the exhibition of endangered traditional objects, the teaching of royal greetings to the younger generations at the royal palace of Naba Sonr©, Chief of the canton of Ipelc©, a public conference, a market street, performances by artists, among others.

In addition to these activities, the organizers donated a ton of rice, or 40 bags of 25 kg, and mats to vulnerable people in the locality. This day served as a platform for Mrs. Kiemtor© to invite all sons and daughters and vital forces without distinction, to always promote cultural values and strengthen social cohesion for lasting peace and harmonious development of the commune of Ipelc©.
