China: Beijing, a remarkably green city: The Chinese capital is impressing with its successful reforestation: roadside areas have been transformed into veritable green areas, adorned with trees, flowers and lawns.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the vegetation cover is particularly remarkable, visible both along the main roads and in the concessions. The highways, boulevards, streets, and alleys are lined with lush vegetation. Large trees, sometimes reminiscent of rubber fields, line the edges of the roads over vast areas.
Seen from the sky, the immense surface area of this megalopolis resembles an impressive forest, punctuated by houses. The foliage also provides natural shelter from the sun's rays, greatly benefiting pedestrians and cyclists during periods of intense heat.
The Chinese government has succeeded in making its capital a veritable green haven.
