Bobi Wine’s Wife Urges Him to Remain in Hiding After Alleged Assault

Kampala: Bobi Wine, the prominent Ugandan opposition leader, has been advised by his wife to stay in hiding following an alleged assault at their home. The incident comes in the wake of Wine's objections to the results of the mid-January elections, which saw President Yoweri Museveni secure a seventh term in office.According to France24.com, Uganda's military chief, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has refuted claims that soldiers were dispatched to Wine's residence to attack his wife, Barbra. Kainerugaba stated that it would not be worthwhile for the army to raid Wine's home. Despite these denials, Barbra is currently hospitalized and has reported that the intruders forcibly entered her home, assaulted her, and demanded information about her husband's whereabouts.
