Boulgou: The Zabr© town hall launched a training session this Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Maison de la Femme (Women's House) for 100 women in the town. The initiative aims to equip them with skills in soap making and the production of traditional kokodonda fabric, as part of promoting their economic empowerment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, over four days, 50 women will benefit from practical soap-making skills, while another 50 will be trained in kokodonda fabric making techniques. Presiding over the opening ceremony, the prefect and president of the Zabr© special delegation (PDS), Alain Boubi© Bassono, praised the participants' mobilization and acknowledged the efforts already made by women for local development. He emphasized that this training is a mark of recognition and encouragement for them.

"I expect you to share the knowledge you have acquired with the other members of your cooperatives. I am convinced that with this commitment, you will be able to meet the needs of the people of Zabr© and beyond," he said. He also invited people of goodwill to initiate similar initiatives for the benefit of women.

The general secretary of the municipal women's coordination expressed her gratitude to the PDS, reaffirming the commitment of the beneficiaries to implement the training acquired. As for the president of the Pag-la-yiri association, she urged women not to let these new skills lie dormant, recalling that only individual and collective initiative can lead to financial independence.
