Sabou: The president of the special delegation of Sabou, Abdoul Aziz KOARA, chaired the reforestation operation at Gounghin A primary school as part of National Tree Day. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Sabou commune to contribute to the restoration of the local ecosystem.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event saw the planting of around a hundred plants, including mango, flamboyant, cassia, and lemon trees. This effort was characterized by a strong sense of community involvement and responsibility. Sabane OUEDRAOGO, head of the Sabou Departmental Water and Forestry Service, emphasized the importance of monitoring and maintaining the trees to ensure their growth and survival.
Prison security assistant Y. Adama KONOMBO pledged his personal commitment to maintaining the newly planted trees. "By planting and maintaining these trees, we are responding to the call of the Head of State who invites us to plant usefully," he remarked.
The president of the special delegation expressed gratitude to the department heads, the residents of Sabou, and particularly the people of Gounghin for their participation. He also acknowledged the support of local associations and the Water and Forestry Department for their organizational and technical assistance.
