Ouagadougou: Brigadier General Mady Savadogo signed his first book, entitled "Terrorism and National Security in Burkina Faso (2015-2022)," this Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Ouagadougou. This book aims to contribute to the fight against terrorism.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the book seeks to support the battle against terrorism by offering reflections and recommendations for decision-makers. The author, Brigadier General Mady Savadogo, highlighted that the 183-page work is divided into three main sections and is the culmination of research he conducted for his master's thesis in peace and security, with a focus on strategic analysis.
Savadogo emphasized that the publication aims to raise public awareness about terrorism, encouraging active participation in understanding and combating the issue. At the signing ceremony, he announced that the proceeds from the book's sales would be donated to support the widows and orphans of fallen FDS soldiers.
He stated that the document provides an analysis of the environment where terrorism thrives and details the threats posed by terrorist activities. The book also illustrates the impact of terrorism on national security, including economic repercussions, infrastructure destruction, and psychological effects on the population.
Furthermore, the General discussed the national response to terrorism, highlighting gaps and offering recommendations to policymakers. The book is available for purchase at Plum'Afrik and Mercury bookstores for 10,000 FCFA per copy.
