The first class of engineers from the Polytechnic School of Ouagadougou, pledged on Friday to be an actor in development by contributing its touch to the building of a prosperous Burkina Faso, noted the AIB .Named "Faso Djigui" (hope of the people), the first class of engineers from the Ouagadougou Polytechnic School, with 29 Burkinabe engineers of diverse backgrounds, said it was ready to take on the country's development challenges. "We have a duty to give back to society what it has given us and we are certain that our generation will rise to the challenges that will arise," said the representative of the engineers, Zoungrana Aurèle, before indicating that he and his comrades are committed to being actors of development.After 3 years of training in the engineering cycle, 9 engineers in industrial engineering, 8 in textile engineering, 6 in computer engineering and 6 in telecommunications engineering obtained their certificates during a graduation ceremony.According to the President of Faso represen ted by the President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, Dr Ousmane Bougouma, through this graduation, the Polytechnic School of Ouagadougou offers qualified human resources who will help the country in its fight for industrialization, a guarantee of its endogenous development."Endogenous development consists of producing and transforming in Burkina Faso for the Burkinabe," recalled the head of parliament before explaining that these engineers trained locally respond to this vision of the President of Faso, Captain Traoré.For the Minister in charge of higher education, Adjima Thombiano, Burkina Faso has now decided to enter the production chain, but also the transformation chain to give added value to all our resources by placing emphasis on the training of human resources.According to him, it is this vision that explained the creation of the Ouagadougou Polytechnic School (EPO) in 2018.Also, continued Minister Thiombiano, "in the presidential initiative for quality education, the government wil l establish the EPO as a Polytechnic University (UPO), to give it more living and study facilities.Source: Burkina Information Agency
