Ouagadougou: The heads of the administrative districts of the Central region have made a significant contribution to the Faso Mªbo presidential initiative by donating 25 tonnes of cement. This gesture was made on Monday in Ouagadougou as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the well-being of the region's population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor of the Central region, alongside the presidents of the special delegations of the 12 districts and the 6 rural communes, expressed their commitment to supporting the presidential initiative. Governor Abdoulaye Bassinga emphasized the importance of local involvement, urging residents to contribute to the development efforts. He stated, "No one will come and build our region for us, it's up to us to do it."
Mr. Bassinga also called on the local population to adhere to established regulations to maintain order and project a positive image of the region. He highlighted the shift from rhetoric to tangible action, saying, "Today, we are no longer in the realm of empty and useless rhetoric, but of concrete action."
The Faso Mªbo presidential initiative, which was adopted by the Council of Ministers in October 2024, focuses on the beautification, sanitation, and accelerated urbanization of key strategic areas across the country.
