Burkina: AES experts hold a preparatory meeting for the meeting of ministers

Ouagadougou: Experts from the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), Burkina Faso, the Republic of Mali and the Republic of Niger began this Monday morning in Ouagadougou, a three-day preparatory meeting, the meeting of AES ministers scheduled for Thursday February 15, 2024 in Ouagadougou. The official opening of the meeting of senior officials, as a prelude to the meeting of ministers of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) scheduled for Thursday February 15, 2024 in Ouagadougou, was chaired this Monday morning by Ambassador Issa Boro, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad. For three days, experts from the three countries of Burkina Faso, the Republic of Mali and the Republic of Niger will work on several points on the agenda, in particular the texts governing the AES and the creation of the Confederation bringing together the three countries. 'I invite the experts from our three countries to work in a spirit of fraternity and conviviality, and without any complacency, on the documents that we will have to analyze during these three days, having in mind only the "best interests of our respective populations " indicated Ambassador Issa Boro, head of the Burkina Faso delegation. For their part, the head of delegation of the Republic of Niger, Ambassador Ousmane Alhassane and that of the Republic of Mali Mohamed Traoré, welcomed the warm welcome given to them. They praised the commitment of the highest authorities of the three AES countries, in the dynamic of creating conditions for stabilization and development of the region within the desired Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
