Burkina/AES: Youth urged to assume their responsibility by getting involved in the reconstruction of the area

The Minister in charge of youth of Niger, Colonel Major Abdourahamane Amadou, invited on Wednesday in Ziniaré the youth of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) to assume their responsibility in the reconstruction of the space by getting involved in all socio-economic activities for a bright future in the three States, noted the AIB."These youth represent a good part of the demography in our countries. So, we can take advantage of this demographic dividend, by supervising them, by ensuring that they assume their responsibilities, which consist of being in all the socio-economic activities of our countries and especially ensuring that the future is better for all our States," declared the Minister in charge of youth of Niger, Colonel Major Abdourahamane Amadou.Colonel Major Abdourahamane Amadou, spoke on Wednesday in Ziniaré on the occasion of the first summer university of the Alliance of Sahel States, organized in the said city, about thirty kilometers north of Ouagadougou.He spoke on behalf of the three AES youth ministers.The first summer university of the Alliance brought together for three days, 251 youth leaders from Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.For 72 hours, they must reflect on their contribution to the construction of a stable and prosperous sub-region."We are already counting on these young people given their commitment and the various activities they have been carrying out for some time," he added.For Colonel Major Amadou, "we will support them with the support of our three heads of state, who do not skimp on resources when it comes to supporting young people."For the president of the organizing committee, Ibrahim Belem, this summer university is intended to be a framework for sharing and reflection between young people from the three states and also a framework for communion between the authorities and young people from the three countries.For Mr. Belem, the reflections will focus on the integration of youth, on the model of governance and the model of economic development that is neede d in the AES space and also the commitment of young people to be actors of peace.The recommendations resulting from this work will be submitted to the heads of state, he said.Source: Burkina Information Agency
