Burkinabe Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyelèm de Tambèla said that his country and China have discussed the possibility of setting up an Ouagadougou-Beijing air link, to boost trade between the two countries."We discussed the possibility of setting up a China-Burkina joint venture for a shipping company and an Ouagadougou-Beijing air link, with a view to facilitating trade between our countries," said the head of the Burkinabe government, Apollinaire Kyelèm de Tambèla.The Prime Minister was speaking at a press briefing following the Africa-China Forum held from September 4 to 6, 2024 in Beijing, China.According to Apollinaire Kyelèm of Tambèla, the Chinese side was in favour and promised to carry out studies so that these projects could see the light of day.China also said it was ready to support Burkina Faso in terms of road and rail infrastructure, added the head of government, before concluding that the ball is on the side of the Burkinabe.Source: Burkina Information Agency
