The Minister in charge of regional cooperation, Stella Kabré/Kaboré, praised on Monday in Ouagadougou the exemplary relations of cooperation and fraternity with Saudi Arabia while respecting its sovereignty, allowing the realization of several development projects."This moment of joy and conviviality gives me the opportunity to recall the exemplary relations of cooperation and fraternity between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Burkina Faso," said the Minister in charge of regional cooperation, Stella Kabré/Kaboré.Ms. Kabré/Kaboré spoke on Monday in Ouagadougou on the occasion of the celebration of the 94th anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On this occasion, the embassy offered a reception.According to the diplomat, since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1965, cooperation between the "two brother countries has continued to identify themselves."This cooperation has enabled the implementation of numerous development projects, such as drinking water supply, the construction of water reservoirs, agricultural developments, health and education infrastructure. She expressed "all her recognition and gratitude" to the Saudi government for the acts of support it has constantly shown during this period of humanitarian crisis that her country is going through.For her, cooperation between the two countries is also manifested through exchanges on subjects of common interest."Thus, on the issue of terrorism, the two countries agree that only mutual assistance and international cooperation will make it possible to defeat this scourge that brings mourning to populations and constitutes a real obstacle to development efforts, especially in countries with very limited resources," she said."This convergence of views allows me to remind friendly states of the need to strengthen their support for countries fighting terrorism, particularly those in the Sahel, which are currently paying a heavy price," she said.Cooperation while respecting sovereignty,The political and geopol itical events that African countries have been experiencing for some time, particularly those in the Sahel, are the manifestation of a desire and a firm need of African populations to know that they are now fully actors in their own destiny, recalled the diplomat.For her, the realization of this desire necessarily involves the development of a sincere and beneficial partnership with other countries, a principle that currently guides Burkina Faso in its bilateral relations."In this sense, we are delighted to see that there are many countries around the world that adhere to the same principles and support us," she rejoiced, before saluting "once again the comforting presence of the Saudi government and its population alongside the Burkinabe people in this difficult and unprecedented period of their history."Source: Burkina Information Agency
