We are eternally grateful to you! », wrote Yacouba Issac Zida, Thursday morning on his Facebook page.On Wednesday, Mr. Zida changed his cover photo to a black page, marking the mourning.According to the information site actualite.bf, El Hadj Nongma Salam Zida, who died on March 6 in Ouagadougou, will be buried this Thursday in Gomponsom in the Passoré province (North).As a reminder, General Yacouba Issac, then lieutenant-colonel, took power in November 2014, after the popular insurrection which ended the 27 years of rule of President Blaise Compaoré.He ceded power a few weeks later to president-designate Michel Kafando who immediately named him Prime Minister of the Transition.After the election of President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré in November 2015, Yacouba Issac Zida went into exile in Canada due to legal problems, among other things.Source: Burkina Information Agency
