Ouagadougou: The special delegation of Ouagadougou has reiterated the ban on livestock farming throughout the municipality and announced the strengthening of the fight against stray animals. This announcement was made in a press release received by AIB.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Ouagadougou reminded the population, based on the public hygiene code of Burkina Faso, that livestock farming is formally prohibited across the communal territory. The PDS emphasized that efforts to combat stray animals in the city will be intensified.
This decision is part of a broader initiative to support the population's efforts to plant 922,973 seedlings in the central region, aligning with the President of Faso's initiative called "the patriotic hour to green Faso." The initiative aims to enhance the environmental efforts within the region.
Moreover, the press release highlights that the management of products resulting from the fight against stray animals will undergo revisions. This includes aspects like the time limits for impoundment, as well as the fines and fees associated with impoundment, indicating a comprehensive approach to the issue.
