Burkina: People’s Bank of Sabou Commune Holds 14th Ordinary General Meeting

Ouagadougou: The 14th Ordinary General Meeting of the Sabou People's Fund was held, under the auspices of the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), in the town hall's function room. This event aimed to present a review of past activities and outline the fund's future prospects to members.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the President of the Sabou Special Delegation (PDS), Abdul Aziz Koara, expressed his gratitude to the director of the credit union, Ass¨ta ZARE, and all the members of this institution for their unwavering commitment and dedication to promoting financial inclusion in the commune. The PDS reaffirmed the special delegation's commitment to actively supporting any realistic and beneficial initiative emanating from the Sabou credit union, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the community and the institution for the collective well-being.

The director of the Sabou credit union reiterated that the objective of this assembly is to draw up a transparent assessment and establish a relationship of trust between the structure and the population. Currently, it has 7,427 members, but she invited the residents of the commune to join more in order to increase profits, which can then be reinvested in projects aimed at community development.

Mr. KOARA launched a vibrant appeal to the entire population, particularly women, for greater involvement and better participation in the products of their fund, which he described as an "essential pillar of the economic and social development of Sabou." This 14th Ordinary General Meeting marks a crucial step in strengthening ties between the Caisse Populaire and the population, while highlighting the importance of financial inclusion as a lever for progress for the commune of Sabou.
